Business Travel

With trips on short notice, cost-cutting measures are usually
bypassed. Airlines usually charge a higher rate on flights booked in
full and at a certain specific date and time. Make certain that the
company you work for has a travel policy, setting aside a budget for
these types of travel scenarios.

The portion of the travel with the least leg room would have to be
the flight accommodations. Travelocity or Orbitz, some of the most
popular search tools on the Internet, can be utilized to help you start
off in finding the airlines that have flight schedules in sync with the
ones that you will be taking. As soon as you have chosen an airline,
you may browse their website. You will sometimes find that they have
promotions, giving more affordable fares even with those on short
notice. It is strongly recommended that you spend your money on flights
that are nonstop since flights with layovers might threaten your
already very limited time schedule. Nonstop flights will better assure
you of the priority of your business goal.

Fishing Proper Buzzbait

First off lets take about size. In my opinion
size is the most important thing to think about when choosing as
buzzer. For example last summer me and a friend were fishing a local
pond called Bartlett Pond. Bartlett is a shallow weed choked pond that
has huge bass as well as record pickerel and pike. I was fishing a
white Fleck buzz while he was fishing a white Booyah pond magic buzzer.
We knew the fish were there because we could see them swimming away as
we approached in our 10ft. aluminum jon boat. These fish we extremely
wary and easily spooked if I even cast within 5 ft of them you would
see there wake rushing away from me in the weeds. Meanwhile me friend
was catching them left and right with the smaller bait. Same color
smaller bait. I then switched over to the smaller Booyah buzz and we
caught 8 bass in the next hour. I just goes to show that the switch
from a ½ ounce to a ¼ ounce made all the difference. so what does this
mean for you? Well as a rule of thumb I will start out with a ½ ounce
Booyah or Fleck and if the fish are not hitting it I’ll move down to a
¼ or 1/8 ounce bait.
The next most important thing is the blade
and blade size. The blade is what creates the surface disturbance that
I believe is why this bait is so appealing to bass. Some blades have
pre-drilled holes in them that create tiny bubbles in the water to
creat even more disturbance. Personally right now all my buzzbaits have
these holes either pre-drilled in them or I have drilled them myself. I
don’t usually fish them without the holes in the blades but there are
some situations that holes have a negative affect on the bait. These
conditions include times when the fish are extremely wary or when they
will not hit the one with holes. Other them that I always use holes.
Blade size is also important because if the blade is to small the bait
has a tendency to want to sink under the surface and we don’t want that
do we? If it is to big you are going to scare fish away not catch them.

Finally I want to talk about skirt colors. I
mainly fish two colors of skirts, black or some other dark color for
high sun periods and white for overcast periods. I occasionally use
green or yellow in I think that the fish have seen a lot of buzzers.
Other than that color is pretty simple. I know some pros use tons of
different colors but really a bass that is looking up at the bait going
overhead is not going to be able to tell the difference between a black
buzzbait and a blue or purple buzz, so spend your money on other things
then 10 different colors that are going to be seen as black to a bass
anyway. Finally where do you fish a buzzbait? Well I fish them around
any type of cover that I would fish with other baits because if you can
quickly catch a few bass off the cover before having to dig out the
flipping sticks, the more time you have to focus on the bigger fish.
Basically throw a buzzbait anywhere you would throw a senko, and seeing
the bass explode on the lure is half the fun anyway, right? So go out
there now with your newfound buzzbait knowledge and kick some bass!
